I’ve added red, blue, and grey mini-cores, each showcasing one of the beam weapons (and I’ve updated the beam-drawer to follow the source and target, so beams will stay connected even for fast-movers). The cores are now showcased in the main game.
I might take a break from the battle-platforms and implement spread and reverse shots with modularity, just for more variety.
I really ought to try for a menu system, too.
Ooh, and I thought a cheap way to experiment with visual shields might be to use the approach I currently have for after-images, but tint them blue and blend them on top. Might be quick and easy, but I don’t want to make the whole game blue.
